Deeper Still Counselling

You are not alone.
You are here because something needs to change, because something needs to feel different. Whether you have been ruminating for years or for minutes, my belief is there is no present or past hurt that cannot be challenged or overcome. I am here to help you say the quiet parts out loud; to guide you through anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, trauma(s), your relationship with yourself, living authentically, and any life circumstance past or present that brings you here today.
About
Hi, my name is Keisha. My calling to the helping role, and strengths brought to it, are a direct reflection of my lived experiences with developmental trauma, family addictions, grief, loss, relationship heartaches, and the manifestation of each experience’s often debilitating consequences.
For nearly two decades I have worked in the service of serving others with international non-profit organisations, and hands-on with a Vancouver local drug and alcohol recovery organisation. I am an open and non-judgemental book with a well of empathy and therapy experience of my own to draw from, in addition to my extensive and life-long pursuit of education.
As a keen student of life and psychotherapy, my training and learning never stops. I consistently bring both the latest and the greatest of interventions to my integrous work that is tailored to each individual client I have the pleasure of working with. I look forward to meeting you exactly where you are, and to being someone wholeheartedly in your corner as we work together, uncovering the paths of where you have been, and discovering the way to where you want to be.

What to Expect
As a counsellor my character and foundation is highly relational. You can expect authenticity, empathy, humour, wisdom, and a straight-forward approach rooted in truth and evidence-based practice. With utmost respect for your autonomy and humanness, I offer a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space for you. We will work collaboratively to create meaningful goals to support your path to a purposeful and congruent life. You are the expert on you, I am here to listen, learn, guide, and teach. Therapy is not only for crisis situations, it is an essential tool for mental health maintenance and overall sustained wellness.
Treatment
Mountains of research show the number one predictor of positive outcomes in therapy is the quality of the therapeutic relationship itself. This is fascinating to me and points to our first and perpetual priority.
My approach to therapy is completely individualised and tailored to you and your goals. That said, it is important for you to know where I specialise and continue to study. I utilise an integrated combination of Cognitive-behavioural, Person-centred, Solution-focused, and psychodynamic psychotherapies. I also offer an integration of Christian faith-based counselling strictly upon your request and invitation.
Despite methodology, we are here to focus on you together. With customised treatment plans tailored to you - my passion is to walk alongside you and my joy is to help you toward a life and version of you that you truly want, and that is possible.
